Recommended Action

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
Communicare+OLE is a current tenant of the County-owned facility at 1038 Triangle Court, West Sacramento, commonly referred to as 500B Jefferson Boulevard. Communicare+OLE has leased this property since 2005 and the lease ends March 31, 2026. County staff and Communicare+OLE entered into negotiations to develop a new lease for this property. The negotiating parties have met several times since December 2026 and made significant progress and are close to finalizing a new lease. However, given the timing cycle of Communicare+OLE's Board of Directors meeting and the County's Board of Supervisors meeting, we do not foresee finalizing the lease until April 2026. Therefore, County staff are requesting that the Board delegate authority to the County Administrator to approve a one-month extension of the existing lease to April 30, 2026. Staff will return to the Board with approval of a new lease after negotiations for a longer-term lease are finalized.

The County Administrator's Office, County Counsel's Office and Health & Human Services Agency are involved in the lease extension and new lease development process.
