Authorize the Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters to accept a Help America Vote Act (HAVA) grant agreement in the amount of $8,324.38.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) has an ongoing commitment to provide funding to local elections offices to help them improve technology and security in the administration of their elections. The EAC is administering this grant from Help American Vote Act Federal funds, and will be used to improve technology and security in the Yolo County Elections office.

Collaborations (including Board advisory groups and external partner agencies)

The ACE Department worked with the Secretary of State's office to get this grant agreement approved.
