Hold a public hearing to approve the 2021 supervisorial district map, adopt a resolution implementing the new supervisorial district map, and introduce by title only, waive first reading, receive public comment and continue an ordinance entitled “An Ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Yolo, State of California, Allowing the Adoption of Future Supervisorial District Boundaries through Passage of a Resolution” to the next regular Board meeting for adoption. Recommended Action
- Hold a public hearing to approve the 2021 supervisorial district map and adopt a resolution implementing the new supervisorial district map; and
- Introduce by title only, waive first reading, receive public comment and continue an ordinance entitled “An Ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Yolo, State of California, Allowing the Adoption of Future Supervisorial District Boundaries through Passage of a Resolution” to the next regular Board meeting for adoption.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background
At the November 9, 2021 Board meeting, the Board directed staff to make the following revisions to Map 4a (Att. A) and Map 5 (Att. B) and bring both maps back to the Board for final consideration at the November 23, 2021 Board meeting:
Staff has prepared two resolutions (one for each map, Atts. C and D), to allow the Board to take final action in adopting a new supervisorial district map at today’s meeting if so inclined; if not, the Board also has the option of deliberating on further revisions and considering final maps at the December 7, 2021 Board meeting. A final map must be adopted by December 15, 2021.
Additionally, counsel recommends the Board adopt an ordinance which will revise County Code to allow the Board to adopt supervisorial district boundaries by resolution pursuant to state law (Att. E).
- Olive Dr. area moved from District 4 to District 2
- Winters Fire Protection boundaries wholly within District 2
- District 1 and District 4 share the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area
