Recommended Action

Adopt resolution requesting the collection of charges on the 2024-25 tax roll for the Dunnigan, El Macero, North Davis Meadows, and Willowbank County Service Areas (Attachment A).

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The County Service Areas (CSAs) provide various services to the communities they serve, such as water, sewer, landscaping, storm drainage and lighting services.  The specific services that are provided to each CSA depend on the individual CSA's needs.  The CSAs are financially supported by property-related fees charged on parcels within a service area.  These charges have been previously approved by the Board pursuant to Article XIIIC and Article XIIID of the California Constitution (Proposition 218).

Annually, the County of Yolo requests the Board of Supervisors to authorize the collection of these charges on the County tax bill, including property-related fees, assessments and/or special taxes. This action requests the Department of Financial Services to collect charges on the 2024-25 County tax bill, for the County Service Areas (CSAs) listed below:
  • Dunnigan CSA
  • El Macero CSA
  • North Davis Meadows CSA
  • Willowbank CSA
The resolution is attached hereto as Attachment A.
