Adopt an amendment to the FY 2024-25 Equipment List to reflect the Department of Community Services change from a planned gasoline powered truck purchase to the purchase of two electric vehicles. (No general fund impact) (Lindbo/Riddiough)

Recommended Action

Adopt an amendment to the FY 2024-25 Equipment List to reflect the Department of Community Services change from a planned gasoline powered truck purchase to the purchase of two electric vehicles (Attachment A).

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

The Department of Community Services has the opportunity to replace a planned gasoline vehicle purchase of a Ford F450 truck with the following two electric vehicles:
  • Volvo Electric Roller
  • Ford F150 Lightning
The electric roller would be the first of its kind in the United States. The Ford F150 Lightning vehicle would supplement the existing electric trucks in the county fleet.
