Reason for Recommended Action/Background
The Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Habitat & Drainage Improvement Project, led by Ducks Unlimited, enhances the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (CDFW) ability to manage wetlands and agriculture in the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. Identified in the County’s 2014 Drainage Study and 2020 Update, this project is supported by multiple partners, including $2.5M secured by the County in 2022 through the MOU between the County and Department of Water Resources regarding the Yolo Bypass Salmonid Habitat and Fish Passage Project.
