Accept the certified results of the Yolo County June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election.

Reason for Recommended Action/Background

  1. California Elections Code Section 15372 requires the county elections officials to prepare and submit certified election results to the County Governing Body (Board of Supervisors) within 30 days of the election. The Assessor/Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters certified the results of the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election on Friday, June 26, 2026. 

    The certificate of election includes the results of the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election, pursuant to Board Minute Order No. 26-11 wherein this Board approved the consolidation of the elections in the jurisdiction of City of Davis with the Statewide Direct Primary Election conducted on June 2, 2026. This recommended action accepts the Yolo County June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election results.
     
  2. Pursuant to California Elections Code Section 8203, in the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election, there were three contests for Yolo County Judge of the Superior Court offices with unopposed incumbent candidates who were not on the ballot. These nominated candidates can be declared reelected after administrative deadlines pursuant to California Elections Code Section 8203 on the day of the general election if they do not appear either on the primary ballot or general election ballot. Pursuant to California Elections Code Section 8200, the office number designation for Yolo County Superior Court Judges is only used to distinguish the number of judicial offices to be filled in this election.
