An agenda packet containing detailed information on the items listed below is distributed to the County Judge, Commissioners, and County Clerk the Friday preceding the meeting. The agenda packet is also posted on the county website at www.burnetcountytexas.org, under Public Meetings. A hard copy of the agenda packet is available in the County Clerk's office. Our Mission Statement: The mission of Burnet County is to maintain overall efficient and effective management of county resources while providing the  services mandated by state and federal law and desired by the citizens of Burnet County.

Public Comments - Pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.007 and the Burnet County commissioners court Rules of Decorum, any person may make comment on any item not appearing on the agenda. Any comments made will not be addressed by the commissioners court during the Public Comments agenda item. Public Comments are limited to three (3) minutes per person.
 
4.
Executive Session: Discussion with Burnet County Commissioner's Court and the County Civil Attorney(s) and/ or the County Attorney in accordance with Texas Government Code 551.071 (Consultation with Attorney).
(a) Discuss confidential attorney-client legal matters, litigation and other legal matters pertaining to Burnet County's response to the Public Utility Commission of Texas Docket 59475.

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding items discussed in Executive Session.

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding a burn ban for the unincorporated areas of Burnet County. (Wilson)

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding the following:
(a) Adopt a Disaster Declaration in accordance with Section 418.108 of the Texas Government Code regarding the New World Screwworm; and
(b) Direct county departments to track and report all New World Screwworm expenses and time to the Burnet County Auditor's Office.

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to designate a Burnet County Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Coordinator which prohibits discrimination. (Wilson)

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to approve, sign, and execute all necessary documents and actions regarding the Title VI Compliance Nondiscrimination Statement, Title VI/ Nondiscrimination Assurances, and Title VI / Nondiscrimination Plan, to remain in compliance as a TxDOT Grant Subrecipient. 13.
Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 26-4090-09:
(a) Select Texas Association of Counties (TAC) as the vendor;
(b) Approve, sign, and execute all necessary documents and actions regarding the 2026-2027 Renewal Notice and Benefit Confirmation for insurance from TAC in an estimated amount of $5,212,622.16; and
(c) Use the calculation of the 2026-2027 Renewal Notice and Benefit Confirmation estimated amount for the FY27 Burnet County proposed budget.

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding the composition of the FY27 salary grievance committee for elected officials' salaries as set by Local Government Code Sec. 152:
(a) County Judge, County Sheriff, County Tax Assessor- Collector, County Treasurer, County Clerk, District Clerk, County Attorney or Criminal District Attorney, and the number of public members necessary to provide nine voting members; or
(b) County Judge and nine public members, if the commissioners court votes to have nine public members.
 
17.
Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action regarding budget inter departmental line item transfers:
(a) Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 transferring $700 from Float Clerk Training, fund 100-4520-4220, to Mach/ Equip (Inventoried), fund 100-4520-5750, to purchase a chair; and
(b) Maintenance transferring $4,800 from Operating Supplies, fund 100-5100-3300, to Mach/ Equip (Inventoried), fund 100-5100-5750, to purchase an APeX swamp cooler for the maintenance shop.

(a) County Judge Department transferring $40,000 from Professional Services, fund 100-4000-4010, to Nondepartmental Professional Services, fund 100-4090-4010 for architecture and engineering services for modification of existing buildings to prepare for the potential relocation of Burnet County offices.

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action authorizing the County Judge to negotiate a work order with BSW, a previously qualified architect firm, regarding architecture and engineering services for modification of existing buildings to prepare for the potential relocation of Burnet County offices in an amount not to exceed $40,000 from Nondepartmental Professional Services, fund 100-4090-4010. Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action for approval of County-owned school facility on Tate Street awning roof repair expenses in an amount not to exceed $16,000 from fund 720-4090-5300. (Wilson)

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action for approval of expenses for installation of a secure interior doorway between offices and the public space/ AgriLife Auditorium at the AgriLife building in an amount not to exceed $15,000 from fund 720-4090-5300. (Wilson)

Discuss, consider, and take appropriate action to approve, sign, and execute all necessary documents and actions regarding entering into a labor agreement for CR 112 and CR 210 for construction of concrete headwalls in an amount not to exceed $96,000 from funds 722-6955-5512 and 723-6955-5512.
